Making my mark!

On Wednesday I, along with most of the country, voted in the municipal elections. Fact of the matter is that it is our duty as South Africans to take part in these votes in order to make a difference in our country. Now, I can understand people voicing their opinions about the country and I can accept that there are, and always will be, complaints too.

However what I cannot tolerate is people who cannot bother to stand in a line for 2 hours of their lives and cast their vote, not only do they not vote but these people are often the individuals with the most to complain about! Personally I am just sick and tired of these people standing on their political soap boxes and ranting and raving about how messed up South Africa is when they are not willing to do ANYTHING about it, saying "My vote wont change anything!". What if we all had that attitude?

Another thing that I noticed over the voting period on Wednesday is that so many people were openly stating and telling the world who they voted for and why. One person in particular even going to the extent of saying "It wont help if I vote for the DA because there are way more black people who will vote for the ANC". I have never really been one to judge but a comment like that shows just how shallow an individuals gene pool really is!!

Other than that I glad that I could make my mark, even if it has not had radical changes yet, the future is bright if people have the right attitude.

its like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert, but I'm holding you closer then most because you are my heaven..

Living && Learning ♡

** Don't make someone ur priority when they only make you an option **

I guess everyone gets hurt. Not only the hurt that comes from the pain of having your heart broken by your "significant other" but the hurt that comes from a friend, or someone you thought was your friend. In my experience this hurt is way worse! You put ur faith in this friend and stay true to ur friendship only to find out that what you thought was true never really was. Leaving high school and entering "the real world" was probably the time that showed me who the real people in my life are and who the fake bitches are!

Being hurt in this way is not all a negative experience because you walk away from these people knowing that there is a reason they never made it into your future

You grow stronger and realise who & what you never want to turn into

I belive that everything happens for a reason.

People change so that you can learn to let go.

Things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they're right.

You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself.

& sometimes good things fall apart so better things fall together***

Fear for me!

My biggest fear is to dissapoint the ones I love. To fall short when there is so much invested in me. For me there is no worse feeling then knowing that you have let someone down!

Perphaps the worst thing someone could ever say to me is "Im not cross, im just disapointed". You may not always dissapoint because you give up or dont try but sometimes, even when you try your best, you end up dissapointing people.

The key is not to always win or always do well in that test but rather to try your best, and when you dissapoint someone, which you will, prove to them that you can turn it around!!

The greatest distance **

--"The greatest distance on earth is not North to South. It is when I am right in front of you and you don't know that I love you"--

tHe LiTtLe ThiNgS (:

You need to take time each day to appreciate the small things that make you smile :)

Whether it be the way a total stranger smiles at you from across the room even though they do not know your life story, the way the sun reflects off of puddles of water after a storm & you know that, although very cliche, things do get better :)

or the way you can look at your family and just know, besides all the wrong, they are just RIGHT <3

Life is made up of all the little things ;)

Take the good with the bad and the happy with the sad

My passion. My future

Writing, quite simply, is my passion.

A way to show how you feel without really much effort.

A way to put on paper what you sometimes battle to put into words.

A way to let the world know that THIS is what I want to do....

Writing, quite simply, is my passion, my future!
